UNIVERSAE become League of Legends BAE Cup WORLD CHAMPIONS!

It is finally over! The BAEsports League of Legends has finally come to an end, and what a one-sided end it has been.

With an excruciating 3-0 finish in the best-of-5 grand final spectacle, Universae Instituto FP have shown Nemoses that their last loss against them was a fluke.

Squashed against all odds

With the latest play, being in the group stages, with Nemoses winning against then then-called Universitat Politécnica de Valencia Esports team, quite easily so, as well, it was almost certain that history would repeat itself.

However, Nemoses, confident in being able to outcompete the Spaniards again, only to be out-competed by the team with an crucial 3-0 finish, all games lasting under 30 minutes.

I dont think [we played well]; they made us look very bad by playing that well.

Musti Magica, Nemoses

All good and fair fun, however, as Nemoses have admitted they have “out-drafted and out-played us.”

They knew [our] ADC was our main carry and that’s how we like to play. Might be the only way we played actually, and [Universae] shut it down every game.

Musti Magica, Nemoses

The reason being, according to the Spanish institute, that they were worried with other tournaments while also competing in BAEsports BAE Cup.

The reason why we might have lost the previous game was because we were busy with other tournaments that were not from BAE. Once we finished those, we were fully committed and fully focused on the BAEsports final.

Universae Commentators

Their work seemed to have been enough to squash their Nordic opponents.

HaVoC defeated

Universae have confirmed they will come back in the Summer championship to defend their title, however, Sergmade Squad, a.k.a Team HaVoC, a.k.a BBB have confirmed their participation for the next event, after a 1 season absence.

We will be there, they will be easy to defeat.

Inferno, BBB

The controversial Greek team will return to BAEsports. Next season might have a final that will truly be a matchup with 2 different title holders, and only 1 can win.

BAEsports could not stream the finals

Technical difficulties plagued BAEsports and their commentators, with Sebastian trying to fix them to no avail, and the only way to have been able to watch it was through the Universae Twitch stream.

It is one of those unfortunate events that have never happened to us, and some of these issues were, unfortunately, out of our control. We are working to make sure something like this never ever happens again. We want to thank Universae for streaming and covering for us, allowing us to have an amazing and entertaining final in the end.

Sebastian Gonzalez, co-founder of BAEsports

We thank Universae for having been able to stream the events, and BAEsports is working on returning stronger.
